Leaving the military can be a difficult and complex process. You dedicated your life to serving your country, transitioning to civilian life can be a daunting prospect. The emotional and psychological toll of combat can be debilitating. You have lost the camaraderie and sense of purpose that comes with military service. This can make it challenging to adjust to a new way of life. You may find it challenging to build new social connections to find meaning and purpose outside of military life. The transition process can be further complicated by physical injuries, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. It’s not uncommon to experience feelings of isolation, depression, and uncertainty about one’s purpose in life. It’s important to recognize that these feelings are normal and natural. They can be managed and overcome with time, effort, and support.
